Me Too Mining Association has created a tool to empower workers to intervene effectively and safely when inappropriate workplace behaviours happen to them or in their presence.
The DIGGER Program provides guidance on actions that an active bystander can use, that includes consideration for safety, to directly or indirectly intervene in an inappropriate situation.

- Inappropriate workplace behaviours and their impact on the target, the harasser, coworkers, the workplace culture and the company
- Different types of bystanders that can be present in any situation including passive, complicit and active bystanders and the impacts they can have on a workplace culture.
- Behaviours, beliefs or values that can stop a person from becoming an active bystander and how to overcome them.

- Engage the Target
- Record and Report
- Practice applying the DIGGER steps through scenario analysis where we will provide you with real stories from women and men in the mining industry. This provides an opportunity to review the impacts of inappropriate workplace behaviours on the target, harasser, bystanders, work environment and the company. Then use the DIGGER steps to offer interventions that could be available to an active bystander for each scenario that are safe and effective.
